Thank you for reading about me and DISCOVER Acupuncture & Herbs.
If you are considering acupuncture or related therapy to help with a health or cosmetic concern, then I would like the opportunity to show you what acupuncture and chinese herbs can offer.
Beforehand, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I started out working in industry and over the years have worked in hospitals, medical clinics, and specialty practices. During this time, I saw many patients with a host of different medical concerns. Most of these patients would follow through with varied therapies as prescribed by their western medical doctors. Others sought different therapies with much success. I wondered if these therapies could focus on the whole person and work on treating the root concern. After some research, I decided to pursue a degree in oriental medicine.
During my four years of training in traditional chinese medicine (TCM), I learned how these different modalities could be combined with western medicine. The program included courses in western medicine, acupuncture, and chinese herbology. It also included two years of clinical internship. I was very fortunate to have guidance from acupuncturists who were also western medical doctors. This mentorship was invaluable and gave me a firm grounding in practicing acupuncture and TCM.
As a practitioner, my philosophy of care is patient centered. It is always my desire to listen closely to the patient and formulate a treatment plan that is effective and efficient. I will also strive to educate the patient on their health imbalances and lead them toward sustaining wellness.
